The Racing Foundation has released its 2023 Annual Review and Strategy for 2024. It reaffirms its commitment to the areas of Equine Welfare, People, Community and Youth Engagement and Environmental Sustainability.
The 6-month census was launched last year by the Horse Welfare Board (HWB) and funded by the Racing Foundation as part of its 3-year, £3 million grant supporting 17 HWB projects.
National Racehorse Week is confirmed to run from the 7th to the 15th of September 2024. The Racing Foundation is supporting the event for a fourth year, funding the community engagement activities.
The grant will be used to deliver the horse welfare projects identified in the industry’s A Life Well-lived Strategy - a five-year plan to ensure the highest standards of welfare.
