Applied research projects with a direct relevance to the Thoroughbred breeding and racing industries have been funded in collaboration with the Horserace Betting Levy Board (HBLB).
Many projects have been supported that provide a direct benefit to the health and well-being of those working in, or retired from, the horseracing industry.
A number of grants have been awarded to charities whose principal focus is the improvement of the welfare of current or former Thoroughbred racehorses.
Funding support has been given to projects that help preserve and promote the cultural impact of the sport of horseracing.
In addition to offering an open grants programme, the Racing Foundation also works with charities and industry stakeholders to develop and support collaborative initiatives for the benefit of the racing industry as a whole.
