The Racing Foundation is looking to recruit a new Trustee to join the Board from January 2020
Wednesday, 18 September 2019
The Racing Foundation was established in 2012 as a registered charity to receive Racing’s share of the proceeds of the government’s sale of the Tote. The endowment now stands at just under £100 million. The Foundation supports charitable purposes associated with the horseracing and Thoroughbred breeding industry to “create a lasting legacy for the sport”.
The Foundation’s directors and Trustees are responsible for its strategy and grant making and oversee its financial affairs and governance. They normally meet four times a year.
This is an exciting period to join the Foundation as it delivers the second half of its current three year strategy and develops its role and influence with the aim of making a positive difference to the sport and its participants, human and equine. As well as having a keen interest in horseracing and a broad business background we are looking specifically for candidates with strong knowledge of the Thoroughbred breeding industry. A legal background would be desirable. Trustees are also keen to extend the diversity of the Board.
